Set the Tivo

If, for some reason, you find yourself up and awake at 7:50am tomorrow---and, really, I don't think there's any excuse for that on a Saturday, except maybe if you have a small child, in which case you'll probably have been up for, like, four hours already, OR MAYBE SINCE IT WAS BORN---you should turn on the CBS Early Show to watch my televisual debut.

Oh no, I'm not actually going to be on the program. But some words I wrote will! A hundred words, in fact! They'll be up on a screen during the segment about Travelocity. You should think about me when you read those words. You should be all, "OMG! I know the girl who wrote those words on that screen! Well, sort of. In an Internet kind of way. So maybe not really. Wait, why am I up at 7:50am again?"

Oh I'll be watching. My alarm clock (read: 15-month-old's bleating mouth) will definitely have me up by then.

I was on ABC7Chicago Evening News just before BlogHer began!

It was almost like I was interviewed, except it was more of a quick jaunt as the camera panned to my face, but still: I was there. Outside smushing my face up against the window. AND I HAD BURNING QUESTIONS TO ASK, SO I WAS KIND OF HOPING THEY'D RUN OUT OF NEWS AND VISIT ME OUTDOORS.

Congratulations! Your television debut -- that is very exciting!

And I loved the "I know that girl..." routine. I've totally been through that before. It usually ends with my girlfriend looking at me all puzzled and me muttering, "never mind."

Yay for you! Now you need to get on TV at a time when people are actually awake. (I have a 5 year old and will NOT be up at 7:50 am, because I have a lovely, lovely husband and a job that doesn't get me home til 1:30 am)

I do not have cable, but I guarantee I will be up b/c I DO have 3 kids.

And? I will be thinking of you and all your brilliance while I brew that first cup of coffee.

Wow! Congrats to you! It's actually 7:14 am (EST) so its like 4:14 where you are, right? EEK! The only reason I'm up is because my husband had to go to work. On a Saturday. Which in my oppinion is even worse than being up early on a Saturday.

Very exciting! Congrats on this very important milestone. And way to be on TV first thing in the morning, without actually having to be awake at that time! That takes talent.
