You, Me, New York

Are you going to BlogHer? I think we should have a drink together. That's if you want to have a drink with me, of course. Me, I'd love to have a drink with you: I think we could have some pretty good conversations about Tim Riggins if left in a room together with a bottle of wine, although if you switched the topic to nuclear engineering or sixteenth century Renaissance poetry halfway through, I guess I'd probably try and keep up. Don't expect too much, though; I'm much better talking about fictional television characters. I mean, "Jordan Catalano: 1995 Onwards" is pretty much my specialty subject.

Anyway, all this is to say that I'm going to be in New York on Saturday night, and a bunch of us are having a little meet-up in a bar. I'd love to see you there if you wanted to stop in for a drink! It's super low-key: nothing fancier than a couple of drink specials and a few darkened booths, but the BlogHer conference, while a lot of fun, is big and crowded and overwhelming, so if you feel like a brief break from the madness, feel free to come by. Everyone's invited---I mean, come on, it's a bar---and the more the merrier.

Except this is also one of the best hair days I've ever had in my life, so there's absolutely no way I'm actually going to look like this again on Saturday night. Maybe just look for a person who looks kind of like this, except the front part of her hair looks like maybe she thought it would be a good idea to trim her own bangs with the kitchen scissors two days before a large conference, and also her at-home hair color turned out a few shades darker than the stupid lying box promised it would. If you spot her, lean in close and see if she's talking about Jordan Catalano. Yes? Then you found me. Hello.)
