I Do My Best Work In My Pajamas
Today marked another weekend wherein I promised myself I would return to some sort of regular exercise routine, then combine that with some sort of regular not-eating-slabs-of-butter routine---is it just me or do you sometimes fear that you could could actually eat, like, slices of butter straight off the knife, providing no-one was actually there to witness it firsthand?---but then swiftly abandoned that plan in favor of a drinks and dinner on Saturday and a butter-heavy brunch with friends on Sunday. This basically means it's San Francisco's fault for having such excellent restaurants and I accept no part in the blame. Also, whatever, we have hills. We had to walk up those hills to get to the butter. I'd call that breaking even.
Anyway, below you will find the very first video in BlogHer's Putting It All Together series, featuring Ree, Sheila, and Loralee, and shot on location at the Pioneer Woman's ranch, where I'll be heading in June to shoot my own video. (Oklahoma! A new state for me!)
If you remember, we talked a while back about what you typically wear during the day and for a night out, and this video is the direct result of those discussions. It also contains the phrase "taxidermied yoga pants," which I shall be adding straight away to my very long list of future band names. Hey, I just had a great idea! Someone should start up their own consulting business aimed at struggling bands trying to think up a great name for themselves. Think about it, I bet you would get so much business. Limp Bizkit, for one, would probably be the first ones to knock on your door for rebranding, and the Goo Goo dolls would be right behind them. Come on, someone go in on this with me.

hahhaha love both the band name and the consulting idea. my friend and i came up with a name for our imaginary band in high school which i still happen to like: three dots on a map (:

Huh, was just discussing band names yesterday. Despot Robot is our latest favourite.
Eating butter by the slab is possibly one of my favourite things to contemplate. But I actually prefer unsalted, as it's more like eating solidified cream than anything else.

When I was a kid, I actually knew a girl who ate slices (or spoonfuls) of butter.
On another note, why is the plural of "spoonful", "spoonfuls"? Seems to me it should be "spoonsful", like "passersby".

Yay! You're coming to Oklahoma. And Ree doesn't live to far from me. I live in her hometown, actually, so you might pass through, depending on how you get to her house from the airport. You should stop by. I'll make you Ecuadorian food.
