Hey, have you been looking for paradise? Because I've got great news for you! I think I've found it! It's right here in Vanuatu, so you can call the search off immediately. This morning, for instance, I had homemade crumpets for breakfast, spread generously with honey butter, and then papaya, melon, and orange with house-made coconut sorbet. And then, as if that weren't enough, I followed it up with poached eggs, bacon, toast, and roasted tomato. And then I spent the day on a sun lounger in front of my beachfront villa, rising from said sun lounger only to kayak, snorkel, and then almost die in an unfortunate body-boarding incident around mid-afternoon. (It was all great apart from the body-boarding incident. Who knew the tides in Vanuatu were so rough? Not us! Whoops! Nothing like drowning on your honeymoon to put a damper on things!)

Anyway, I'm interrupting my days of slothfulness and sun-baking to point you in the direction of a few more wedding pictures, should you be at all interested. Ironically, the first time we've had reliable Internet---or at least reliable Internet that didn't cost 55 cents a minute, ARE YOU KIDDING ME SYDNEY MARRIOTT?---is here in the middle of the South Pacific, where we arrived yesterday and will now happily stay for the remainder of our lives. Oh, did you need me, office? Did you need me, family? You'll find me right here in villa number three, sipping a banana milkshake in my bikini and reading a novel a day. Hope that's alright!

So we won't have the professional pictures back from our marvelous photographers for another few weeks, but luckily we have some friends who not only own cameras, but who also brought them to our wedding and took hundreds of brilliant pictures, and they've all kindly pooled them together for us to look at. I owe these friends something wonderful, like my firstborn child or a banana milkshake to be sipped on a sun lounger while reading a novel a day, but instead they will just have to make do with my undying gratitude. And also the advice that you shouldn't try boogie-boarding in Vanuatu around mid-afternoon. You're welcome, friends!

I remember most of the day looking like this, which is to say dreamy and magical and also kind of blurry and surreal:

And yet there were also moments of startling lucidity, like the walk down the aisle with my dad, when I made myself look around at every single person who was in the chapel, remembering each and every face. (This was all very well, of course, but it wasn't until I was halfway up the aisle that I remembered to look to the front and find Sean. Oh, right, Sean! That guy I'm marrying! Guess I should check and make sure he's there as well!)

So then we had drinks:

And then we had dinner:

And it was wonderful.

Anyway, I've got a whole lot more to say about the day, obviously, but for now, if you're interested, there are a whole bunch of photographs from my lovely friends right here. As for me, I've got a three-course meal to eat on the beach at sunset. Internet, my life has totally turned into The Bachelor.

Can I just say that I love the one you labeled "Married!". It reminds me of the excitement I felt on my own wedding day after the ceremony - because I knew that at least we got married, so even if everything else fell apart, we had accomplished what we set out to do that day!

I'd settle for the firstborn, but the one I have is enough. Enough I say!

I'm jealous, by the way. The rest of us had to go directly back to our dreary lives, whilst you are luxuriating in paradis.

Just the way weddings should be: dreamy, magical, surreal.

And...I'm ready to pack for Vanuatu. Hope there's a lucky number 7 villa with my name on it!

Hats! Morning coats! Heaps of white flowers! Charming vintage details! Black and white dance floor! A stunningly gorgeous bride and groom! And expressions of bliss everywhere ... really, could it be better? I think not.

(Note - someone PLEASE remind me to get invited to a Brit wedding soon. I really, really, really need a good excuse to wear a magnificent hat.)

Holly, your dress is by far the most beautiful I have ever seen, including the one worn by my own daughter-in-law. You and Sean both look absolutely radiant in every single one of these pictures. Clearly all your planning and hard work paid off in a wedding that was just what you wanted. A labor of love. Keep these photos coming, Kiddo -- they are a veritable visual FEAST!
