Always Listen To The Internet

So I went with Dress C  in the end, which was kind of a no-brainer---at least according to the comments---and also secretly my favorite anyway. Thank you all so much for making my mind up for me; I've decided I'm no longer going to make any important decisions myself, I'm just going to put them to a vote on the Internet instead. So much easier than actually having to think. How do you feel about smooth peanut butter versus crunchy?

Our engagement party was wonderful, a lovely mix of friends and family and cupcakes and champagne and a lot of laughter and a wee bit of weepiness (but only the good kind). In fact, I'd say it's been my favorite part of being engaged so far. Well, aside from that one time at a catering tasting when they brought out a tray of mini Godiva milkshakes in shot glasses for us to try.

Actually, nah, this was way better.

Only one question remains---and don't worry, it's not "Internet, what should I wear to my wedding?" (I've got that covered, I think.) No, the question is this: if the engagement party was this much fun, how fantastic is actually getting married going to be? Actually, wait, don't answer that. I think I already know.

(The entire set of engagement party photos is here. You know, if you're related to me and actually interested in this sort of thing.)

Homemade cupcakes are the key to any great party!

And there is no question that smooth peanut butter is the way to go.

I can't really say on the peanut butter issue, but I do believe you two could win the Most Attractive Couple of the Year contest (that's a real thing, right?).

So beautiful, you guys are going to have so much fun!

I used to read your blog leading up to and during your travels through Asia, and then fell away. This week someone posted about which blogs started you blogging and why, and I immediately wrote about how amazing Nothing But Bonfires was and I couldn't help but come back to find your blog. I'm so glad you're still at it and that I can add you back into my reader!

Crunchy! but my husband likes smooth so it depends on who buys the groceries.

Gorgeous couple! Champagne & cupcakes! Beautiful baby in a blazer! All the right ingredients for a fantastic party.

All I can say about being married is that as good as you think it is going to be, it is so much better than that! Can't wait to see the wedding photos!

Oh, such shiny happy people!

I am unreasonably excited about all this, Holly. One look at those pictures and I was all "Oh, look! There's Dad! There's Mom!! And Suzie!!!" (Susie?? Sorry, if I got it wrong, Sooz!) What fun to have the whole entire Internet cheering you on during this smiley time in your life :-)

Rats, I was wrong. But see? If only you had kept up the "Ask Susie" feature, it would have been firmly imprinted on my brain :-)

Nothing less for my favorite people ever! I'm SO glad you had fun. The beauty of it is--I did too!

Everyone was just so relaxed and casual that I didn't run around stressing myself out.

Also, your family? ADORABLE!

I'm a smooth PB fan myself when it is on PB&J sammiches. But if I have PB on an English muffin, I can go either way.

Also, you look fabulous! As always!

Another vote for extra crunchy... the fact that the hubby agrees is a huge bonus. Also, love your engagement party dress. :)
